Sheffield LEP Growth Hub launches new scheme to help build recovery

Businesses in the Sheffield City Region are being offered a helping hand to get back on track to recover from the impact of the Coronavirus lockdown.

Sheffield LEP Growth Hub launches new scheme to help build recovery

The Sheffield City Region Growth Hub has launched its Re-Start to Growth initiative which gives businesses access to experienced and skilled experts to help assess, plan and restart their business through an agreed programme of intensive support. This free initiative comprises two full days with an experienced growth specialist , who can offer business leaders help and guidance in the following areas:

  • Strategic planning & Leadership support
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Operations
  • Financial advice
  • Skills and also Digital/IT

James Muir, Chair of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, said:

“We’ve got some brilliant businesses here in the region and I want to make sure that the support is in place for them to come back stronger and more successful.

“By drawing on the expertise of our Growth Hub advisors this new initiative will help business owners get back on track. The road to recovery will be a long one – and the Growth Hub and Local Enterprise Partnership will be with businesses all the way”.

The Re-Start to Growth initiative begins with an initial discussion with one of the Growth Hub advisors, which identifies the biggest challenges the business is facing and the priorities for moving forward.

The Growth Hub business advisor will then draw up a plan of action. The business can also be signposted to other relevant support to aid recovery or re-establishment, if needed.

The Sheffield City Region Growth Hub’s advisors all have many years of industry experience; from manufacturing and service sector through to finance and international operations, and offer that independent, impartial perspective, which can make all the difference.

If further help is required after the completion of the Re-Start to Growth initiative, the business could be eligible to access additional support through Re-Start to Growth+ (Plus). This provides a further two days of intensive support which would be delivered over an agreed time period (limited to three months).

Any business that is looking to re-establish or recover after making significant losses due to the Coronavirus lockdown, or is facing challenges that put its long term future in question, should speak to the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub team about the Re-Start to Growth or Re-Start to Growth+ packages.
